J.F.Finnegan has been based in Sheffield since 1945 and is one of the UK's leading privately owned building contractors.
Their wide-ranging expertise covers the industrial, office, retail, residential and education sectors, with contracts ranging from £1 million to £50 million, therefore it was particularly pleasing to Domino Interiors in winning the fit-out for the relocation to their new head office location at Wards Exchange.
Finnegan engaged with Domino at an early stage within the planning process and together we conducted a workplace consultancy report to assess the change from a culture of private office accommodation to an open plan office, where collaboration between associated business departments was essential.
The result was a mix of shared breakout spaces, open meeting areas, a reception and client meeting area, senior management team offices and a kitchen dining facility. Finnegan chose Senator Freeway bench desks and Allermuir soft seating and breakout furniture which helped to provide a complete cultural change for the company.
Director Nick Gillott commented, ‘we chose Domino for their professional and knowledgeable approach to our situation and desire for change, and their presentations and proposals were streets ahead of their competition. The outcome is a facility that looks fantastic, and which has lifted the staff morale, increased productivity and improved departmental communication all of which has coincided with an increase in business revenue.’
