Working sustainably to safeguard futures

Sustainable building for a greener planet

The word “sustainability” is used a lot these days and in numerous contexts, and for a very good reason. As well as governments and households making changes to create a greener future, businesses and organisations also play a crucial role in helping the UK to achieve its sustainability targets, such as becoming a net zero nation.

When it comes to commercial interiors designed and built by Domino, sustainability is very much about supporting our clients and communities through an unwavering approach to longevity and recyclability as evidenced by our ISO 14001 - Environmental Management accreditation.

Environmental sustainability in the workplace

Whether a building is used for industrial, commercial, retail, leisure or educational purposes, it can have environmental sustainability integrated throughout its structure. Domino is a leader in this field thanks to our conscious and strategic effort to reduce our impact on the planet:
We work with materials that are both sustainable and recyclable.
Our supply chain adds value to our own sustainability through the development of whole-of-life-cycle products.
On every project, we work together with the stakeholders to dispose of waste in a manner that supports, rather than harms, the environment and the local community.
With each project, our aim is to meet and surpass the expectations, hopes and aspirations of our clients. We strive to meet their sustainability and environmental goals through responsible design and choice of materials and products, as well as how we recycle and dispose of waste.
We promote other forms of workplace sustainability through consultancy, advice and our Insight page. This information is wide-ranging and constantly changing in line with new technologies and ways of working, covering everything from energy efficiency and waste reduction to the design of eco buildings and the development of hybrid working arrangements.
